Make Love – Save the World

Make Love – Save the World

The Hipster 70s had it Right!

saveAre you a lover or a fighter? Back in the 70s – when bell bottoms, smoking pot, leggings, and disco balls were in – it was all about making love not war. Sex was in and violence was out. Perhaps a little extreme but the message was right, love can save the world and your health. Hipsters.

Well maybe not the world but making love is certainly advantageous for your health and wellbeing; mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally.

And when it comes to connective power, having sex regularly not only will draw you closer to your significant other, it is also scientifically proven to make you healthier physically.

Not quite saving the world but better than nothing!

Here are a few healthy advantages for having some fun between the sheets.

Decrease Stress

Stress kills. Stress is the trigger of sickness and disease; illness like depression and anxiety, cancer, and the flu. The University of West Scotland conducted a study showing people that had intercourse sex regularly – at least once every two weeks – had a better handle on stress. Endorphins and oxytocin are released during pleasurable intimacy that gives you that “feel good” feeling, relaxes you, and relieves pressure.

A key factor in strengthening your health.

Better Zzz’s

It’s true, having the big O will trigger sleep mode. Researchers say having an orgasm releases a burst of chemicals and hormones that relax your mind and body instantaneously. This pushes your prolactin levels higher when you sleep and helps you fall deeper into sleep than you normally would.

What better reason do you need to have more orgasms?

Better Pain Tolerance

I’m not about to argue this one. Studies show having an orgasm releases a surge of hormones that dulls pain. So you aren’t feeling your achy back or sore shoulder quite so much after you have sex and achieve orgasm.

Sounds good to me!

Stronger Immune System Function

People that have sex more often have higher levels of the immunoglobulin, an antibody that helps protect you from disease. In general, people that have sex more often wind up battling colds less frequently.  Better test that one out!

Loss Weight and Get Sexy Toned

The truth is in the pudding! Having sex is a cardiovascular and muscle building exercise session that burns calories, tones and strengthens muscles, and helps you lose weight if you want. A romp in the hay gets the heartrate pumping and depending on which position you prefer, you can work those muscles till they fatigue and that’s all good for your body image. Standup for the guys is tops for calorie burning and Cowgirl wins for the women.

The more creative you are the healthier you get!

Sex may not save the world per say but it will certainly rock it.
